miranda cosgrove: concert for carrie in chicago
Miranda Cosgrove is making dreams come true all over the country!The 17-year-old actress surprised a special 7-year-old girl named Carrie at a local hospital in Chicago. Carrie’s mom contacted the producers of iCarly, hoping for her daughter to meet Miranda – and it worked! The two were invited to her Chicago concert over the weekend, but Carrie couldn’t leave the hospital.
So what did Miranda do? She put on a mini-concert right in Carrie’s hospital room and sang three songs for her. “I think it’s amazing getting to meet her. … She was great and getting to sing to her was amazing,” Miranda shared with NBC Chicago.
Miranda added on her Twitter, “Met an incredible little girl earlier today and put on a mini concert for her with some of my band mates. Its the little things that count.”

The 17-year-old actress dished about how scared her mom was when she started driving, on how she can’t choose which college she wants to attend and oh, expect to meet her parents if you want to date her. Check it:
On getting her driver’s permit: “It scared my mom to death when all my friends started driving. She always told me she wanted me to drive, but I think she kind of felt lucky that I didn’t get my permit when all my friends did. I think that’s been the hardest thing for her, watching me go out with my friends and literally drive away.”
On her up-in-the-air college plans: “I’m chickening out last minute. I love New York, but I’m scared to move and leave L.A. I do have friends here [in New York], but I’m not really close to a lot of people. I feel like it’d be a whole new life. So, now I’m thinking about going to USC for two years and then coming here for two years, but USC is 30 minutes from my house so it would basically be like staying home and going to high school.”
On dating: “I probably went on my first date like two years ago, with someone that picked me up and I remember how scared my parents were. It’s so embarrassing. You know, in movies, the parents who make the guy come in and meet them – my parents are like that.”

miranda steals statue of liberty with minions!
Miranda Cosgrove hitches a ride on the Statue of Liberty float with the lovable Minions from Despicable Me during the 2010 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC on Thursday (November 25).
The 17-year-old actress didn’t perform a song — but actually aided the Minions in stealing the float — LOL! Check out the video below!

how she got started: " i was 10. my mom was landscaping our front yard, and i was the one picking up the flowers and putting them in the ground. i sort of took over! now my neighbor will come over and we'll plant flowers together. i have a big flower pot area next to my bedroom every few months i'll take the old ones out and put new ones in".
what she likes about gardening: " i think it's kind of therapeutic", she says. " it's calming and fun. when the weather is nice, it's nice to just be in the enviroment."

" i go riding every third weekend at los angeles equestrian center in burbank. you can rent horses and just ride with your friends. they have a sunset ride i want to do where you go up into the hollywood hills, and there's a restaurant there. you let the horses rest, and you go eat and then ride back down. it sounds really cool."

freddie's tech guide
green screen- a green cloth that serves as a backdrop. with a special kind of software, the computer can digitally replace the green cloth with any background you can imagine.
night-vision- this setting on the camera allows you to film in the dark. it comes in handy when the lights accidentally go out.
pie spy video camera- a quality piece of spy equipment. the pie cam is a fake piece of pie with a camera hidden inside.it also comes with a giant fork. just a normal piece of pie with a lens on the side, well maybe it's a little large and looks like a fake piece of pie, but if you keep insisting is real, maybe it can fool someone!
two-way-high-speed-videoconferencing- or as sam likes to call it, " the blab cam." this allows one group of people to talk to and view another group of people.
carly and sam's bff stories
sam and i have been best friends for five years. we met when sam took my tuna sandwich right out of my hands at lunch. she was expecting me to cry, but instead i just took my sandwich right back and started to eat it. sam thought that was pretty cool. we've been best friends ever since.
like most best friends, sam and i had our share of fights. like when i made sam an Icarly T-shirt for our friendship anniversary and she traded it for cuddle fish concert tickets.
when i found out what sam did i was really upset. i mean, how could sam trade my present like it was no big deal?
with sam and i fighting, it looked like icarly might be over for good! luckily, freddie took action and let the Icarly viewers vote on icarly.com for who they thought was right. sam and i made up when most of the viewers decided that " carly and sam are both acting dumb and they should just make up and be friends again." our viewers are so wise.
we had another fight when sam changed my grades in the school's system. she thought i deserved straight A's. it's true, i really did work hard on my history report, and my super-strict teacher gave me a B+, even though he said it was the best paper in the class. he just took off points because i printed it on 3-hole-punch paper! i promised sam and i wouldn't tell on her, but i wanted to change my grades back. when you think about it, changing grades isn't that different from cheating- they're both wrong!
after school freddie and i hacked into the system from my loft to change the grades back- but the CSA ( computer security agency) stormed in and stopped us. it was a total mess. i felt so guilty about the whole thing and so did freddie. so, the next day, we both went in and confessed. neither of us ratted out sam but she eventually confessed herself. sam got a lot of detention, but she said it was worth it to keep us out of trouble.

how icarly began
Icarly got started when i got in trouble because someone posted fliers at school of one of our teachers. the fliers had Miss Briggs' head photo-docked onto the body of a rhinoceros. Sam was the one who made the fliers, and they were pretty funny. but i took the blame. miss briggs sentenced me to film the talent show auditions so she could watch them later. my neighbor freddie is way into tech stuff. he had a camera i could borrow and he even offered to help me and sam tape the auditions.
there were a few cool acts- like this girl from my class who played the trumpet while jumping on a pogo stick! too bad most of the acts were totally lame. they were so boring that sam and i spent most of the time talking and making fun of miss briggs! we didn't know it then but freddie caught that on the tape too!
that night, freddie thought he uploaded the auditions so miss briggs could watch them. but he actually accidentally uploaded the footage of me and sam making fun of miss briggs! a lot of kids logged on to the school website and saw the tape- and they liked it. they wrote in comments about how funny they thought sam and i where and asked when our next show would be. cool, huh?
the next day we gave a list of the best acts to miss briggs and hoped she hadn't checked the website. but, of course, she had! she was so angry that she wouldn't let any of the acts on our list perfoem on the talent show. it was so unfair! the best acts deserved to be in the show. so we decided to put on our own talent show on the web. it would be a totally kid-run web show hosted by me and sam with freddie producing it! all of the best acts performed on our first web show and kids everywhere got to see them. and that's how Icarly all started!

Hi! My name is Luiza, and this is my new blog for all Miranda lovers or Icarly lovers, or Drake & Josh lovers, whatever.
